農曆春節連假展開，銀行也休息，不少民眾改用網路銀行交易，但詐騙集團也看準這點，近來狂發「網銀更新」釣魚簡訊，包括假國泰世華、假台新銀行、假中國信託簡訊都出現，一名台新銀女用戶就在臉書發長文示警，表示自己點下「網路銀行版本更新」簡訊中附的網址連結，結果40萬元存款全被盜領一空。

台新銀案發後已經在官網及APP上推送「近期發生多起假藉銀行名義之釣魚信件，若您收到可疑簡訊，請勿點選連結登入，以避免造資訊外洩及損失」的防詐訊息，但恐詐騙集團利用年節期間大舉網銀詐騙，全國民眾仍應盡速向所申請的金融機構查證，確認帳戶有無異常交易情形。
