非上班時間辦理國民身分證掛失，可撥打 1996 內政服務熱線，並請留下電話號碼，以利戶政事務所於次一上班日再次聯繫確認身分，如於掛失後尋獲，請同時告知以利及時撤銷掛失；上班時間請撥打任一戶政事務所可辦理掛失。
國民身分證掛失方式分為:電話、網路、臨櫃、戶役政管家 APP掛失
為確保個人權益，遺失國民身分證之民眾自103年7月1日起，可親自向任一戶政事務所申請補發。
