美国媒体报道，美国27年以来首次再现致命乙型流感病毒，根据美国疾病预防控制中心（CDC）最新数据：全美范围已有1300万人感染，造成死亡人数高达6600人，加州、纽约均在高危城市之列，堪称过去40年最致命流感之一。

目前全美50个州里，有48个州出现流感疫情，其中32个州流感活动水平维持高位，人口稠密的纽约、华盛顿和加州无一幸免，纷纷中招。
