媒體以「50元便當」過度塑造節儉的總統，事實上對於台灣社會是種傷害，也許，負面效益從不在「造神者」的考量中。這些負面效益就是，媒體編造的總統級「50元便當」中，最起碼包含了「營養師的專業價值」、「廚師的專業價值」、「安全食材的價值」及「採購運送的成本」，而馬英九的造神運動中，這些專業價值都被濃縮到「國家領導人50元吃一餐」的報導之中。
