據內政部警政署統計108年全國道路交通事故及行人死亡人數有增加趨勢，主要是交岔路口因「車不停讓人」之行人死傷逐年攀升，且約有6成交通事故發生於路口，為防止惡化，加強車輛與行人守法觀念，將自109年9月1日起實施全國「路口安全大執法」，期有效降低事故發生。
