若是發現軌道上有異物，要通報給台鐵最快的方式並不是打給110或是台鐵，而是有一支緊急通報專線「0800-800-333」，這支電話能直通調度總所，讓調度員能立即用無線電通知線上的列車，及時阻止悲劇發生，這才是最快、最有效率的救命管道。台鐵也呼籲民眾只要發現軌道、平交道、橋梁或是隧道上面有障礙物都可以撥打這支電話。「0800-800-333」
