■「糖」與「癌症」確實有關:
 
2017年VIB等團隊刊於Nature Communications的文章,使用酵母細胞研究,了解「癌細胞過度消耗糖」會導致「持續性地刺激癌症發展生長」。
 
■不宜簡化為「癌細胞愛吃糖」:
 
事實上,我們體內「所有細胞」都需要葡萄糖提供能量;只是癌細胞因為生長快速,消耗葡萄糖的需求更大。
  
■「控制血糖」與「癌症」確實有關:
 
當吃進高升糖指數(GI)的食物,血糖迅速飆升確實容易刺激癌細胞的增生,促成腫瘤惡化。因此控制血糖濃度、不要吃太多高GI的食物(白米、白麵包等)的確是重要的。
