根據中央流行疫情指揮中心呼籲，流行疫情或防治措施等相關資訊都將由指揮中心統一對外公布。民眾接獲來源不明或未經證實之疫情資訊時，應先查證內容是否屬實，切勿隨意散播、轉傳，避免觸犯傳染病防治法第63條，或社會秩序維護法第63條第1項第5款規定。根據《傳染病防治法》規定，散播不實疫情者，最高可處300萬元罰款。
