學校有信件證明她拿到博士學位，英國大學體制就是這麼簡單，學校發出信件證明就是！學校自有其作業系統。況且，她若沒有博士學位，也不可能1980年代，在台灣東吳和政大拿到副教授教職。蔡英文表示，她的學歷無庸置疑，她不懂為何賀德芬會有這樣子的質疑，既然賀教授要走上司法途徑，「那我們就提告」，透過司法來檢驗這件事情。
